Europe: A Dream for Young People

In the districts of Central Punjab especially Gujarat, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal and Hafizabad the trend of going to Europe by illegal routes has increased tremendously during the last three decades.

In the village of Adhorai near Gujranwala, when a village family moved to Europe and their mud house was replaced by a three-storey house with beautiful tiles, many young people of the village also started dreaming of going to Europe and improving their future.

Kamran and Abdul Khaliq, two close friends of Adhorai, used to say the same thing day and night.

Kamran, 25, used to supply chickens to shops and his friend Abdul Khaliq used to feed buffaloes in a tent and do small chores. Both are married and have two children.

They started looking for an agent to go to Europe. Through a friend, he met an agent named Nader, Which supported their delivery to Europe and he also narrated many alleged incidents, how he takes boys from Punjab to Europe who are living a life of luxury today.
